Mel Macoun
Facilitator / Health and Wellbeing Specialist
Mel brings nearly thirty years of experience across clinical practice, adult education, and health coaching to her role as facilitator. With a background spanning public hospitals, private practice, community health, Defence, and the APS, she has facilitated learning with student, patient, graduate, professional, and leadership groups across both the private and public sectors. Her depth of experience in client care and organisational culture gives her a grounded, real-world perspective that resonates with diverse audiences.
A skilled communicator and educator, Mel draws on her training in health coaching and psychologically informed care to create learning environments that are both evidence-based and genuinely human. She is adaptive in her approach, comfortable across a range of group sizes and delivery modes, and brings a warmth and directness to the room that puts people at ease and keeps them engaged.
Mel is driven by the moment when learning shifts from theory to something people actually take home and use. Her work is shaped by a belief that sustainable change happens when people feel seen, supported, and equipped, not just informed.
